Academic institutions worldwide will be celebrating Open Access Week this week.

Here is what we have planned at StFX:

All week: Posters, buttons and information sheets at the Angus L. Macdonald Library and the Nicholson 8th floor lounge
Monday-Friday: OA factoids via the Library’s Twitter feed and Facebook page<
Tuesday: Q&A session on the Tri-Agency Open Access Policy on Publications – with John Blackwell, Director, Research Grants Office, and Lise Brin, Scholarly Communications Librarian (12:00-1:30 pm, Nicholson 8th floor lounge )
Thursday: Presentation on the relationship between open access (OA) and open source software (OSS), hosted by James MacGregor, Publishing Services Coordinator at PKP (Public Knowledge Project) at the Centre for Teaching and Learning, 3rd floor, Angus L. Macdonald Library, 1:00-2:00 pm
