About Us

The St. Francis Xavier University Association of University Teachers (StFXAUT) was founded in 1957 and in 2005, under the Labour Relations Board of Nova Scotia, became the certified bargaining agent for academic staff. StFXAUT promotes the welfare of the University and its academic staff. Our membership includes full and contract faculty, Librarians and Archivists, Laboratory Instructors, School of Nursing and clinical nursing staff, Coady International Institute teaching staff, and Extension Department staff. We play a role in advocacy of issues pertaining to academic excellence and integrity at StFX.
